Watercolor Painting of Statue I am working on - Devotion

I started this the other night along with another one (will post next) I really enjoyed the last garden statue Serenity that i did, it inspired me to do more. I still have a ways to go but I will post as I work on them.

I darkened the background a little more and I an starting to put the final layers on the petals, then I will finish the center. I am also working on 2 other paintings of garden statues, I will post some on them a little later. Thanks for stopping in have a great day!

I am starting to define the petals, the background is almost done.

I am still working on the background leaves, added a brighter yellow in the center of lily.

I entered the Floral and Garden art competition in the International Artist's Magazine a while back and I am just thrilled that I am a finalist in their competition and my painting Show Stopper was published in their April/May issue. It is out on the shelves now so make sure you look for me.

I have been slowly working on this one, I am getting closer. I still have to darken the red on the petals and add some more form to the petals. I have finished a couple of small one, but I will wait until this one is done to post them. I have been very busy getting work framed and getting ready.
