Just finished this today. The lighting is a little off still (waiting for some sunshine). I will look at it a bit before I have it framed just to make sure :)
I have added many layers since I last posted this the last time, I am on the home stretch to having this done. I did not have great lighting when this was taken, the background is not as black as it looks.
Just finished this guy a second ago. I have to set up for the show and sale tomorrow afternoon, I might get a chance to finish a couple more. We will see. Thanks for stopping in, have a great night!
This is the rose I started, I have the background almost to where I want it. I will have to go in and redefine some of the petals, I just quickly scribbled them in.
I have been working on this some, along with 2 new ones and some ink & watercolor. I have not had a lot of time to stop and comment on my favorite blogs, sorry I will hopefully be able to catch up this week coming up :). I have been so busy getting ready for the church show this weekend, the RNS show Mother's Day weekend and my solo show at Kingsbrae Garden, this May. If you would like any more info on any of these shows you can go to my website on the events page: Click here . This painting is 11x14 and still has a long way to go before being finished!
This is one I did when I first started painting a lot. It was a reference photo from wet canvas, I am not sure from who it was a long time ago, sorry but thank you !
Some more Pen & Ink with Watercolor. I never tire of these they are a great break while my larger paintings are drying. I hope everyone has a great week, thanks for stopping in!
I did an interview last week for our local KV Style paper when I went to pick it up I was thrilled to see that I was the cover story. If you would like to read the article click the following link:
I meant to take a picture of this before I got the background this dark... sorry I got carried away.
This lily is a pale yellow almost cream in spots, it is amazing how many different types of day lilies there are. I think that is why they are one of y favorite flowers (just in case you hadn't noticed) :) This one is 11x14". I will post more progress later.
I just finished these two and I am working on some more. I have also started another lily :), I will post some shots of the lily when I get some more done. Thanks for looking!
I have been working on some more pen & ink with watercolor in between paintings. I just love doing these. These one will be for sale at the St. Paul's Church Art Show and Sale April 24th. Hope everyone is having a great day!
I finished this today, I have been busy working on some more pen and ink :). I will post them when they are done. I am still in the planning stages for my next paintings so the pen & ink are a good filler. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.
This was my Birthday present from my husband Al. I consider myself to be very lucky to have the support of a husband that encourages me to do what I truly love, if it was not for his support in all areas, I would not be able develop my art full time. Thank you Al :)
I am an Artist from the East Coast of Canada. I started this blog to log my journey as an Artist and share my vision with others. I paint primarily in watercolor, I also use soft pastel, acrylic and mixed media. I am a realist painter who loves using strong rich colors to portray what inspires me.
I was published for the first time in the 2010 Apr/May issue of International Artist as a finalist in their flower and garden competition. My entry was show stopper, you can read about it in my March 16th post on my blog.
